Rank Progression Mechanics
« on: April 04, 2011, 08:16:07 am »
Advancing in this clan is easy to do if you follow the clan rules. There are a few factors that can possibly seem daunting, but in all honesty, they're not. Just remember: A good clan member deserves promotions.

1. Longevity
Promotions can simply be given, especially the lower ranked ones, through your time in the clan. The longer you stay, the more due you are for a promotion. Of course, this scales with rank, and at a certain point you can't get promoted simply by being in the clan. If your personal "Clock" comes to zero, and you're due for a promotion, but you haven't been active in the clan, you will not receive the promotion. You will, however be notified that you aren't contributing before your countdown reaches zero, and you will be given ample chance to redeem yourself.

2. Activity
Being active in the clan is critical, if not the most important. You can get promoted via clan activity mainly by just playing regular games with the clan, but one is slightly more recognized if he/she also participates in clan meetings and in-game scheduled clan events. Just being active in the forums doesn't count, but it's always lovely to know you're an active part of the community, considering the clan is just that.

3. Special Actions
There are also certain cases where, if you particularly prove yourself to admins or the clan, you can get promotions. For example: Taking on a one man task for the clan, doing tasks specifically assigned by admins, or just doing spontaneous acts of kindness and benefit for the clan members or the clan as a whole. If you happen to be quite the productive and dedicated person, and love to do things for admins, your promotion countdown can be shortened, to a point of being cut entirely in half. Get creative and keep yourself open.

4. Quality of Work
These forums didn't get all shiny by themselves. If you took away all of the sizings, spaces, and colors, what would you have? Sure, you could still see the raw information, but it would be put together sloppily and just not very fonz-fresh at all. What we strive for in this clan is quality. Quality over quantity. Actually, Quality AND quantity. We want the very best from our Clan members, because if each and every one of us is doing good work, the clan will prosper. If you take on tasks for this clan, the effort is one thing, but the end result is something different. Not only be active, be dedicated. Not only play, but play as a team. Not only be in the clan, contribute.
